7 Ups & 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (10 Jan)

Ups…

7. At Least We Know Where They Stand

The Hurt business
WWE

While the decimation of Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander felt gratuitous and just a repeat of last year – albeit in front of a live audience – it did accomplish one thing: We now know where the duo stands in relation to Bobby Lashley.

We also know that there is no such thing as the Hurt Business anymore. The group’s status was rather nebulous at year’s end, with Shelton and Cedric reuniting with Lashley and MVP last fall in his feud with Goldberg, but never seeming to be in their orbit. We even mocked it multiple times along the way.

But Monday, Lashley made it clear that the Hurt Business is no more, and then he beat his former stablemates down to drive the point home. There should be no doubting that this group is now a solo act (with a manager), and we can stop wondering.

Still sucks, but hey, better to know for sure at least.
