7 Ups & 8 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (11 Oct)
2. Same Old New Day
Most agreed that Kofi Kingston was done extremely dirty by his squash loss to Brock Lesnar on the maiden edition of SmackDown on Fox, but if The New Day man isn't booked to care, then why should the audience?
Not since Finn Bálor's 2017 return has a former Champion cared less about reclaiming a top prize, and it did him no good back then too.
Clearly in an attempt to buy the gimmick at least a week, WWE positioned Kofi, Big E and Xavier Woods in this episode's Breast Cancer Awareness month segment, but the sight of them f*cking about in the Gorilla Position that Brock Lesnar was literally about to walk through felt just as damaging to the former Champion as last week's loss.
