7 Ups & 8 Downs From WWE Raw: In Your Face (Sep 14)

Ups...

7. Erik Goes Night Night

Bobby Lashley smashed Viking Raider Erik in just two minutes last night, overcoming a short comeback to put him away with a modified Full Nelson submission after a Spinebuster and Dominator, calling it The Hurt Lock.

This was a good bit of business. Ivar is shelved and scheduled to go under the knife today, having hurt himself on a dive last week. This leaves Erik without obvious direction, so why not have him get blasted by Lashley, making Bobby look great in the process, before going away for a little while? As both a write-out for Erik and way to enhance the United States Champion, this worked.

A singles run for Erik wouldn't go amiss, particularly if he starts wrecking dudes in Raw Underground, though he could probably use a break. He's got nothing going on right now.
