7 Ups & 8 Downs From WWE Raw: In Your Face (Sep 14)

5. Street Profits Play It Smart

The Street Profits vs. Cesaro/Shinsuke Nakamura is built on a paper-thin premise, though the two teams over-delivered in a tough spot last night, with their tag bout cannibalised by a commercial break.

The tandems compensated for this with a high-effort performance. Having cut a weird promo about smashing his cortado on the floor, Cesaro was in excellent form. He started hot with a running uppercut and looked to be at his best throughout, going livewire on Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford, popping a building full of half-muted Zoom calls. Great stuff from him, though the finish was well-played as well.

The Street Profits looked like smart, switched-on babyfaces when Dawkins slapped a blind tag while Ford was being Suplerplexed off the top rope. This meant Angelo could hit the top rope and nail the Cash Out splash for a fair, legal victory, outdoing the heels through genuine ingenuity.

You genuinely love to see it.
