7 Ups & 9 Downs From AEW Dark (Oct 20)

3. The Butcher & The Blade vs. Griff Garrison/Brian Pillman Jr.

The Butcher Brian Pillman Jr
AEW

Wash, rinse, repeat.

Another standard Dark match with little extra flavour. A shame, really, as The Butcher and The Blade are usually strong in this environment, particularly when Butcher is smashing smaller people around. They have had more compelling squashes in the past and will do so again in the future, but this was too close to the other flavourless bouts on the card.

Garrison ate a Powerbomb/Neckbreaker combination for the fall. A momentum-booster for Butcher and Blade ahead of tonight's big tag match, if nothing else.
