7 Ups And 1 Down For WWE NXT (Mar 24)

1. The L Stands For Loser

Bronson Reed

Despite picking up his first win as part of Triple H's Wednesday night posse, LA Knight was left infuriated in the wake of Bronson Reed stretching out and shredding his beloved leather jacket mid-match last week. Sure enough, this all led to a match between the two last night, in a battle to avenge the death of some cherished fabric.

Making the loudmouth newcomer pay for his arrogant words from the get-go, Reed pounded the former Eli Drake with a wicked powerslam counter, and even connected with a chop that would've made WALTER wince.

Finally putting his money where his ridiculously large mouth is, Knight slingshot shoulder tackled his way back into the match, taking much of the sting out of his colossal rival after driving him into the ring steps. But Reed wasn't done by a long stretch.

Despite Knight controlling the contest throughout the commercial break, Reed would find himself in an advantageous position on the back of smashing his foe into the mat with a vicious chokeslam. Heading to the top rope for a Tsunami Splash, it looked as though LA was set to make his sparring partner pay with two attempts at a superplex for the ages. However, Reed would power out on both occasions, hitting a match-ending Tsunami for the victory.

You don't need me to tell you how silly the decision to hand the brand's brightest new star a clean loss on his second ever match in the company undeniably was. Hopefully Knight can avenge this defeat sooner rather than later, but at this moment in time, the L stands for Loser and it feels like the vibrant newcomer may have had his momentum killed in record time.
