Pop Quiz: When was the last time an arm wrestling contest on WWE TV was entertaining?

Answer: The next time will be the first and last time.

In advance of their Super Showdown match, Braun Strowman and Bobby Lashley had an arm wrestling contest, because reasons. We got all the typical stalls from Lashley: swatting the hand, posing, slippery hand (which established the chalk at ringside). After Braun won, Lashley grabbed the chalk and threw it in Strowman’s face, blinding him so he could attack.

It wasn’t a horrendous segment – nowhere nearly as bad as the Scott Steiner/Triple H stuff from years ago. But this was painful to a large extent.
