7 Ups And 10 Downs From WWE Raw's Season Premiere (Sept 30)

7. Banks, Bliss Underwhelm

Full acknowledgement that the focus of the women’s division is on Becky Lynch versus Sasha Banks, but Monday’s opening match between The Boss and Alexa Bliss was a disappointing sideshow.

Lynch came out to sit in on commentary for the Bliss/Banks match, but she very quickly climbed onto the announce table to jaw with Sasha, and then tape up her wrists (which was a cool visual). However, the match itself was pedestrian at best, with very little development or flow.

Even the end was odd, with Banks feigning a call for Bayley to interfere, distracting Bliss and allowing her to kick Alexa in the knee… for the pin?

What a strange, strange ending to an underwhelming match.
