This is just about an Up. Just.

Gargano vs Balor vs Ciampa vs Cole for the vacant NXT Championship, in a Fatal-4-Way 60 Minute Iron Man Match is about as salivating a prospect as the company could have announced. It's a match that could easily be a network special all on its own, but makes next week's show absolutely unmissable.

Arguably, its the match that the opening weeks of the show's move to the USA Network felt like it was building to, and while all four men's careers have gone in wildly different directions since there's still enough connecting tissue between them to get some sense out of all of this. It's a huge announcement with incredible possibilities.

But, and this is a but that almost made it a down. How on earth do you present a show as having logical booking, if these are the four men you put into this match? Balor and Gargano were just beaten by Damien Priest for an (allegedly) less prestigious belt, Ciampa has been back all of 51 seconds and beaten one midcarder, and Adam Cole's currently on a winning streak of 1... and that was against an NFL player.

Yep, it's absolutely the four men I'd be putting in that match, but NXT hasn't even bothered trying to justify it.
