7 Ups And 2 Downs From NXT TakeOver: Phoenix

2. ‘Fight Forever!’

Ricochet Johny Gargano

Some might criticize the match between Ricochet and Johnny Gargano looking more like a video game than a wrestling contest, but those people would be related to Jim Cornette.

Ricochet and Gargano battled over the North American Championship, hitting each other with everything in their aresenals. They countered each other’s strikes and moves, with Ricochet showing off his strength numerous times, while Gargano kept charging ahead.

There are far too many moves to highlight in this match, but to name a couple: Ricochet leaping over the ringpost for a somersault dive and following with a springboard 450 splash; Gargano catching a Ricochet handspring with a GargaNO Escape; Ricochet landing on his feet off a hurricanrana attempt; Ricochet hitting a running shooting star press and moonsault combo.

It was an insane match that will blow away anything we see at Royal Rumble, count on it.
