7 Ups And 3 Downs For NXT TakeOver XXV

5. Sultans Of Swag Triumph

You can’t help but want to celebrate a little with the Street Profits after they captured the NXT Tag Team Championships Saturday night.

The duo has toiled away as a popular but under-utilized team for two years, never rising to the level of tag title threat. In fact, this was their first TakeOver match as a team. For Angelo Dawkins, the wait had to be even more unbearable, as he’s been competing on NXT TV in 2012, one of the original black & gold superstars. He’s seen dozens of wrestlers come in with and after him and go on to become champions in WWE while he’s remained in Florida.

But that all changed at TakeOver, with Dawkins and the hyper-athletic Montez Ford (who springboarded to the ladder to retrieve the titles) getting the fans behind them, capturing the belts and then celebrating in the crowd.

Just a good moment that deserved its own item.
