7 Ups And 3 Downs For NXT TakeOver XXV
3. Ladder Match Chaos
Just when you think you’ve seen every spot you possibly can see in a ladder match, NXT goes and puts on a match with scores of new ones.
The Undisputed Era, Street Profits, Forgotten Sons and Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch had a full-speed, brutal ladder match for the vacant NXT Tag Team Championships that WWE’s main roster wishes it could pull off regularly.
There were a ton of moments that were praiseworthy, so here's just a few: Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish hit an elevated spike DDT on Montez Ford, then transitioned into a German suplex onto a ladder; Wesley Blake powerbombed O’Reilly into an upright ladder to knock it and Fish over; Ford hurdled a ladder to hit a dive to the floor onto Jaxson Ryker; Forgotten Sons got lifted off a ladder and taken out from electric chair positions.
Everyone had moments to shine in this match. While the Forgotten Sons are often disregarded (and sometimes rightfully so), even they didn’t look out of place in this match.
