So if NXT TakeOver: The End is supposed to be about the end of the beginning, then bringing in new stars to highlight a new beginning is perfectly appropriate. But NXT found an interesting way to do that Wednesday night.

The announcers cut to an earlier today interview with William Regal in the hallway, which was pretty nondescript until former TNA Champion Bobby Roode walked by and into Regals office. The NXT GM politely ended the interview and went into his office at that point, leaving Corey Graves to just chuckle at the prospect of Roode joining NXT.

Roode appeared in the crowd at the last TakeOver in Dallas, so this wasnt entirely a surprise appearance, but that simple appearance reminded fans that another big star was on his way in without having to spend 15 minutes hyping it in the ring. Itll be interesting to see if Roode rekindles his relationship with Austin Aries, or if theyll run in different circles in NXT.
