7 Ups And 3 Downs From NXT TakeOver: WarGames

1. Next Time, Bring Backup

Why are babyfaces inherently so dumb?

At Evolution, Shayna Baszler’s UFC Horsewomen stablemates interfered in the NXT Women’s Championship match, costing Kairi Sane the title. So on Saturday, Sane came down the ring – alone.

And then Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir interfered in her 2/3 falls match with Baszler, costing her the first fall. And still, no one. The two tried to attack her again, unsuccessfully. And still, no one.

Only after Duke and Shafir tried to interfere a third time did Dakota Kai and Io Shirai come to Kairi’s defense, but by then, it was too late.

This is reminiscent of WCW wrestlers facing off against the nWo and not bringing any backup and then shockingly losing because of interference and/or getting jumped after the match.

Come on, be smarter. Even in storyline, anyone should have seen this coming.
