If your heart is in your throat a bit still after the main event, it’s understandable. The Usos and Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn played with fans’ emotions for the entirety of their 24-minute match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships.

KO and Zayn were clearly the underdogs here, and the Usos were in control for the lion’s share of the match, battering Zayn, then Owens, then Sami again. Our heroes kicked out of everything the Usos threw at them: countless superkicks, splashes and even a 1D – which had never happened before.

Seeing the two best friends rise up near the end, clearly exhausted and beaten down, you could feel it when they summoned what they had left as Owens yelled “Let’s end this!” and they attacked, trying desperately to do their part to bring down the Bloodline by ending the Uso’s 600-plus day reign as tag champs.

And when Sami hit the third Helluva Kick, if you weren’t jumping off the couch, you aren’t human. Sure, we could have done with less Michael Cole screaming in our ears, but this was the culmination of months of a storyline that has captivated fans, and WWE paid it off. Imagine that.
