7 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (July 24)

2. The Miztourage Fall Already

Raw's main event saw The Miztourage try to take advantage of Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose’s recent tension, teaming to face the former Shield duo in a three-on-two main handicap match. The action itself was passable, but it picked up significantly when the faces started firing up later on. Unfortunately, the outcome was all wrong, and only drags the heels down.

The villainous trio were defeated cleanly in just over 17 minutes. Their superior numbers counted for nothing, and while Dean and Seth are often pushed as two of Raw’s top guys, they’ve just burned The Miztourage’s credibility. Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas are now as worthless as their reputations suggest: they’d have benefited greatly from a win here, but alas.

Miz has really suffered since joining Raw as part of April’s Superstar Shake-Up. His goons initially made for a nice addition to his act, but this handicap loss was extremely cold, particularly given the opposition’s apparent lack of cohesion. WWE’s inability to protect midcard heels continues.
