7 Ups And 4 Downs From WWE NXT 2.0 (Nov 9)
3. Solo Survives
Arriving on the scene at Halloween Havoc and refusing to hold back in his official NXT debut last week, Solo Sikoa appears to have the backing of the people who count in the developmental landscape. The youngest Uso smashed his way through Jeet Rama seven days ago, but his biggest challenge to date was on the horizon.
Drawn into the weekly bout of bickering that has been going down between Grayson Waller and LA Knight, Sikoa demanded the two meet him in triple threat action and the end results were... destructive.
Clearly, the objective here was to get over the power and all-round impressiveness of this next generation of Samoan devastation. The many attempts from Waller and Knight to double team and take out Sikoa did just that, with their ego's surviving long enough to gain the advantage, well, for a bit. Ultimately, Sikoa was able to take advantage of the three-way chaos and launch Waller out of the ring before smashing Knight with a splash for the big win.
You have to feel sorry for the fallen foe, though, as Knight has gone from Million Dollar focal point to afterthought at a remarkable speed. NXT will likely always have a place for a cocky heel vet being used as cannon fodder, but you can't imagine this is what the former Eli Drake had in mind when he signed on the dotted line.
