7 Ups And 4 Downs From WWE NXT 2.0 (Nov 9)
4. Everyone Wants A Piece Of Kai
Rolling into the arena on the back of a motorised stallion, and reminding Mandy Rose to keep her title warm for her, Raquel Gonzalez screamed superstar from the minute she entered the frame last night.
Sure, it would've been nice to see a little more of Big Mami Cool when all was said and done, but the sheer intensity of her calling out of Dakota Kai for costing her the NXT Women's Championship at Halloween Havoc, coupled with all-round badass arrival, was enough to re-establish her as a monumental force in the division.
The waters were admittedly muddied a tad once Kai chuckled her way down the ramp, only to be jumped by a p*ssed off Cora Jade shortly after. However, Gonzalez's demand that she be the first to take her pound of flesh being met by a quiet respect from the fiery newcomer made for an interesting beat all the same.
Kai and Gonzalez II, with this newly unhinged Captain of Team Kick promises to be an engaging grudge feud, and the seeds being planted for a later Jade feud down the line isn't the worst idea in the world either. Long term planning on a WWE programme? Don't say it too loud...
