2. Mysterios Feud Heats Up

We’ve all been hard on Dominik Mysterio for a while now. Even as he’s found his footing as a despicable heel with the Judgment Day, he’s still lambasted for his uneven delivery and bang average ability in the ring.

But Monday night, ex-con Dom turned in easily his best performance on the mic since joining WWE – and he did it without the backup of his Judgment Day cronies. Dominik interrupted his father Rey Mysterio during a promo about being selected for the WWE Hall of Fame, and he lit into his dad.

Dom said Rey earned his HOF spot at the expense of his family, that he chose strangers in the arenas over his own son. Then, lest you think he was giving reasonable gripes, he want for the absurd, talking about how he asked for a car for his 16th birthday and got a BMW while his friends all got Mercedes-Benzes.

Then Dom threw down the challenge for a match at WrestleMania, which Rey refused and walked off, leaving the younger Mysterio in the ring to call his dad a failure who was running away from his family once again.

Just fantastic stuff from Dominik here, all things considered. He could have choked out there, but he actually did a really nice job sounding earnest and then being ridiculous to remind you that he’s the unreasonable heel.

He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
