Sheamus and Cesaro might be “The Bar,” but WWE’s bar for Raw on Monday night was pretty damn low. A live Christmas show had the danger of becoming a dull, boring episode that could have been entirely mailed in.

Instead, we got a decent, if inconsequential episode. We did see a title change, but aside from that, you should be able to follow along with a recap and/or a few YouTube videos. Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe clearly still don’t like each other and will continue pounding on each other. John Cena showed up, but phoned it in. Hideo Itami got another shot on Raw and did… OK.

Paige’s new group Absolution continued its winning ways, while Curt Hawkins continued a streak of his own. Dean Ambrose was still pretty popular, even during his absence, but the show soldiered on, as did his tag partner, Seth Rollins.

While there isn’t a lot to say negatively about the episode, it’s worth noting that the positive developments weren’t Earth-shattering either. This writer was feeling the Christmas spirit with some of the ups this week, opting for a more favorable review than criticizing every decision.

With that said, what was full of holiday spirit, and what delivered a “bah humbug!” to the fans? Let’s get to it…
