7 Ups And 4 Downs From WWE Raw (Dec 30)

1. The Original Odd Couple

If you had told fans a year ago that Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe would be standing side-by-side as the babyface heroes of Raw, you would have gotten laughed out of the room.

But here we are, the last Raw of 2019, and Joe came to the rescue of KO, who was taking the fight directly to Seth Rollins and AOP. The pull-apart brawl worked really well, especially with Owens diving onto the heels and security on the floor to illustrate how serious it was.

Backstage, Joe and Owens talked about how Rollins forced their hand and that they knew each other well. They already gelled well together, with security tossing them out but both delivering the right mixture of humor and anti-hero.

This is an unlikely duo, but they both are excellent on the mic and in the ring, so it could be fun if they get to showcase their talents.
