After getting a pep talk that almost pushed him over the edge, Seth Rollins was going to be a step short of losing it heading into his match with Bobby Lashley.

They had a pretty decent match going when Lio Rush kept getting involved, which pushed Rollins over the line. After chasing Lio around the ringside area, Rollins grabbed a steel chair and took out his frustrations on Lashley and Rush, battering both men after being DQ’d.

The result meant that Lashley won, but he certainly came out on the losing end of the exchange. For Rollins, he looked a bit more unhinged and ruthless, which is something he’ll need if he’s being programmed for Brock Lesnar in 2019.

Long-term, Rollins is bigger to WWE than Lashley, so if they’re gonna sacrifice one man to propel the other, this was the right call.
