The rumors of Sting joining Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose at SummerSlam ultimately didnt come to fruition, but it looks like the WCW Icon found a pretty nice consolation prize: tormenting the Authority and Seth Rollins. With the statue unveiling ripe for chaos and John Cena escorted out of the building, it was only a matter of finding out how things were going to go awry. It turned out that Sting managed to switch places with the rapidly sculpted bronze statue and ruined Rollins crowning achievement, attacking Seth and sending him packing. Sting showed at WrestleMania that he still can perform in limited doses, and Rollins is just about the best wrestler on the roster right now, so the two could have a really good match at Night of Champions. And above all else, the Stingers surprise appearance got everyone buzzing, so thats a step in the right direction rather than simply going with a John Cena rematch.
