7 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Feb 13)

5. A Worthy Cruiserweight Rivalry

The reinvention of Neville has been a breath of fresh air in the cruiserweight division, but one thing that has been lacking is a worthy adversary that fans equally are invested in.

But with Jack Gallagher gaining a Cruiserweight Championship shot at Fastlane, it gives fans a reason to care about this match. Neville has been perfect as a sneering, ego-maniacal heel since returning, and Gallagher has been entertaining as a comic gentleman who can go in the ring. (The only criticism has been when they play Gentleman Jack for laughs too much.)

Their backstage spat was a nice exchange, with Neville telling the Extraordinary Gentleman that he’s out of his depth, and Gallagher calling the King of the Cruiserweights a “bloody pillock.” Hopefully, this won’t be a “one and done” feud. If it’s actually done well, it could give fans something to latch onto beyond 205 Live.
