7 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Feb 26)
2. Someone Stands Up To Stephanie
You knew that sooner or later, someone would not take Stephanie McMahon’s bullying and stand up to her.
Unfortunately, it was not one of its homegrown stars, but let’s not hold that against Ronda Rousey, who is a full-fledged WWE wrestler now. And on her first episode of Raw, Rousey stalked Stephanie and demanded an apology for Sunday night’s slap, telling her that if she didn’t apologize, Ronda would rip her arm out of her socket.
Stephanie immediately backed down (though she looked like she wanted to double-down with another strike), preserving the peace between the two for now. For Rousey, it was a strong showing that she was not going to be subservient, boss or not, and that she was going to make sure she wasn’t disrespected.
It was so refreshing to see someone have a spine in front of Stephanie, and it’s also someone who maybe, just maybe, can finally give McMahon her comeuppance.
