After a flukey upset victory last week, you had to wonder if it was going anywhere for Titus O’Neil and Apollo Crews.

And then Monday night, the duo scored another win over Sheamus & Cesaro, thanks to a distraction from Jason Jordan (and his theme music). Those two back-to-back wins over the former tag champs would seem to set them up for a title opportunity, or at least be in consideration for the tag match that The Bar is having against champs Jordan and Seth Rollins.

But instead, Titus Worldwide was announced as competing in the Royal Rumble match itself. And there was no evidence they tried to lobby Kurt Angle to turn the tag title match into a triple threat. Why not?

So they nab two wins over former tag champs out of nowhere, only to become cannon fodder for the Rumble match. Brilliant.
