7 Ups And 5 Downs From WWE NXT TakeOver: Respect

3. Japanese Fury

Had it not been for Tajiri€™s tenure in WWE more than a decade ago, Asuka very well might have been bestowed the nickname €œThe Japanese Buzzsaw€ during her debut Wednesday night at TakeOver: Respect. The former Kana kept her match against Dana Brooke moving at a breakneck pace that left you breathless after a while. She transitioned almost effortlessly between submission moves before throwing in a devastating suplex. At one point, she turned a Brooke body vice in to a kneebar, then an anklelock and then a German suplex. She applied a cross-armbreaker and fluidly turned it into two more holds before releasing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_hqltAgEPw Overall, it was a very impressive debut that seemed to indicate that her time in NXT is going to be short€ because she likely will be promoted to the main roster in the near future.
