7 Ups And 5 Downs From WWE Raw (March 23)

4. Not A Good Sign

Street Profits Jobbers

So after Andrade & Angel Garza defeated two established wrestlers in Cedric Alexander & Ricochet, the Raw Tag Team Champions had their match… against a couple NXT cast-offs.

The Street Profits tangled with Shane Thorne (formerly of The Mighty, but languishing since his partner left NXT) and Brendan Vink, a guy who isn’t even on the regular NXT roster yet. Needles to say, the Profits made short work of them.

But what does it say when the heel challengers have a tougher opponent and shine more than the face champions, who face jobbers? Is that more to build up the challengers, or is it an indictment of the ability of or confidence in the champs?

It just was quite the juxtaposition, especially since the matches were back-to-back.
