7 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (April 9)

1. Roman The Conspiracy Theorist

Damn, Samoa Joe beat this column to the punchline.

When Roman Reigns came out to address his defeat at WrestleMania, it didn’t take long for him to tip his hand for how the writers were going to try to move him forward: It’s a conspiracy against him. Reigns talked about how no one told him Brock Lesnar had re-signed with WWE and wasn’t going back to UFC. (As if that mattered at all with the match itself on Sunday.)

Roman said he wasn’t even informed about his upcoming cage match for the WWE Universal Championship against Brock at the Greatest Royal Rumble event, and then alluded that higher-ups were scheming and planning something for him.

So he got another title match after blowing his big shot, and he’s convinced it’s a conspiracy against him?

Thankfully, Samoa Joe called him out and asked him to just put on his tinfoil hat. He called Roman a failure and a liar, which is a stretch, but mostly accurate.

Still, if Roman is going to whine that the whole world is against him, then we’re really through the looking glass now.
