7 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Oct. 12)

4. Title Exchange?

The New Day Street Profits

In the history of strange title changes, what happened on Raw might be up there with Mideon being gifted the European Championship by Shane McMahon, or Hacksaw Jim Duggan fishing the WCW Television Title out of the trash.

With SmackDown tag champs New Day drafted to Raw, and Raw tag champs the Street Profits drafted to SmackDown, the solution was simply to have the two tag teams exchange titles. So now New Day are your Raw tag champs, and the Profits are the blue brand’s tag champs.

WWE kind of booked themselves into a corner by drafting both sets of tag champs to new brands, but to just have them swap titles like a holiday gift exchange was… well, lame.

Not saying there was a better solution, but this just felt like it cheapened both titles.
