7 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Feb 22)

3. Through The Looking Glass

Falling stock prices. Plummeting ratings. Injuries galore. These all are facts that fans and critics have pointed to for months as signs that WWE is in trouble and in dire need of a major shakeup. Many have said that Vince McMahon is too set in his ways and needs to step aside. But those phrases also suddenly found their way into the segment Monday night between the McMahons, with Shane using those facts as examples of how Stephanie and Triple H were running WWE into the ground. In a matter of seconds, Shane brought one of the biggest complaints fans and critics have lodged against the higher-ups directly into a storyline. Call it breaking the fourth wall or going through the looking glass, but it was a wild moment. If this was going to lead to a sudden change in direction with new ideas and new wrestlers coming forward to alter the landscape of WWE, then that would be one thing. But sadly, this is likely just a pretty cool moment.
