The quickest, most direct route between two points is a straight line… except in WWE, where apparently you have to chart a path with a spirograph.

The route to a WrestleMania triple threat match between Ronda Rousey, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch looked pretty set: Rousey was champ, Lynch was the aggrieved Royal Rumble winner, and Flair was the handpicked challenger. Becky would have to scrap and scrape to overcome her suspension and fight her way back into the title picture, which she’s inevitably do before WrestleMania 35.

Only… none of that happened.

As we learned Monday, Rousey vacated the Raw Women’s Championship last week, and Flair and Lynch – whose arrest and suspension are now miraculously null and void – will square off at Fastlane for the vacant title.

Until… Rousey suddenly reclaimed the title, and the Fastlane match will now determine whether Lynch, whowon the Royal Rumble, will get added to the title match at Mania.

Seriously. What. The. Hell. Is Vince Russo booking?
