7 Ups And 8 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (July 20th)

Downs...

8. Born In The U.S.A.

Just to be clear, Summer Rae hasn€™t renounced her American citizenship via Twitter, has she? WWE runs minor angles through social media so often these days that it€™s easy to miss small developments in a storyline even if you sit through all of Raw and SmackDown each week. Assuming that Summer still hails from Raleigh, North Carolina, why was she so put off by the crowd Monday night chanting €œU.S.A!€ at Rusev? He€™s from Bulgaria and carries his country€™s flag to the ring, so of course he€™s going to generate some heat from the crowd. But Summer, who has chosen to hitch her wagon to Rusev and even dress as a Lana knock-off, seemed more affected by the chants than Rusev did. Summer, you€™re a U.S. resident yourself, so deal with it. Acting offended just looks dumb, unless you€™re defecting.

He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
