7 Ups And 9 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Feb 1)

4. Stepping Out On Her Own

Kudos to WWE for finally doing away with the Divas factions and letting Sasha Banks shine on her own. The Boss clearly is the most popular woman on the roster right now, leaving even the densest executive with little choice but to give her the ball. And Banks did admirable work, getting the mic and establishing that she wasn€™t waiting around for her chance, nor was she rolling with a team to reach her goal of being Divas Champion. Sure, all of that telegraphed what was coming €“ especially when Naomi and Tamina came out to €œcongratulate€ her €“ but it was a necessary step. Banks getting drummed out of Team BAD should help her immediately, as the trio really wasn€™t doing anything of note (aside from singing €œUnity!€). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZtlaEqPPqgM The one question mark here is whether Sasha will be face or heel. Charlotte is clearly a heel and Becky Lynch is clearly a heroine. Sasha is getting cheered like mad despite heel tactics, so maybe she€™ll just drift between the two. That can work if the other two wrestlers are clearly defined. Either way, it should be a matter of time before Banks is at the top of the Divas division.
