Its funny how WWE seems to have no interest in booking Dean Ambrose as a serious main eventer with the potential of beating top guys for world titles. Hes massively over with the fans and carries himself in a way that helped his character overcome some stupid booking. Fresh off his feud with Kevin Owens, Ambrose waded into the fray Monday by confronting Brock Lesnar, a move that could have been disastrous, but instead made both men look good. Ambrose stepped to Brock, gave him respect, but added that he wasnt afraid of him. He begged for the beating he knew he will receive at Fastlane, to which Lesnar could only laugh. Dean finished by promising to haul his broken carcass to WrestleMania, a great visual that showed he wasnt afraid of being taken to Suplex City if it meant a trip to Mania. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_tZMw6asxc You know why this worked so well? No jokes (aside from calling Paul Heyman porky at the outset), no wacky comments or trying to act like a lunatic, no over-the-top dialogue, and even no fighting. A fistfight or pull-apart brawl would have diminished the words a little. This put Dean on Brocks level as far as not fearing him and knowing full well what hes getting into at Fastlane, stressing the importance of winning the world title. Thats effective.
