7 Ups And 9 Downs From WWE Raw (Jan 20)

Ups...

7. McIntyre Officially A Tweener?

Drew McIntyre’s evolution in WWE continued Monday night, as he and Randy Orton wrestled what ostensible was a face/face match.

Both men had an evenly matched contest, trading chops, fists and other high-impact moves. Neither sunk to a heel level, and then The OC interfered to attack McIntyre (who pinned AJ Styles last week), forcing a DQ and Orton to save with a chair.

But then, Orton did was Vipers typically do – strike. Randy nailed an RKO on McIntyre, which the Scot acknowledged was his fault for not seeing it coming.

It’s an interesting spot for McIntyre, and hopefully they figure out how to give him some direction rather than just keeping him lukewarm. WWE could still have a top-level superstar on their hands if they’d figure out something to do with him.
