7 Ups And 9 Downs From WWE Raw (Jan 20)

3. Rollins’ Chickens*** Heel Act Works

Give Seth Rollins a decent amount of credit for adjusting his persona, going from the guy considering himself a locker room leader to someone calling himself the Monday Night Messiah.

Rollins’ act has him believing that he and his stable are the future of Raw, that they decide what’s right and wrong on the red brand. He thanked the fans for making him into the man he is today, and he warned the locker room that they’re either with the group, or against them.

But then, when Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe and the Viking Raiders stormed the ring for a brawl, Rollins wasted no time in bailing, leaving his charges outnumbered and easily overmatched. It’s the kind of heel we all recognize: The guy who talks a good game, but hides behind his heavies at the first sign of trouble.

This also works really well, as Seth has the smarmy, slimy look, making him a perfect chickens*** heel. Keep it going.
