7 Ways TNA Can Save Its Sinking Skip

6. Start A Genuine Female Wrestling Revolution

Is there a more bandied about term in professional wrestling right now than 'divas revolution'? Ever since NXT showed that women's wrestling could be every bit as incredible as their male counterparts, WWE TV has obsessed over the idea whilst throwing 6-man tag matches together with little character development. Of course, TNA was showcasing their female wrestlers years ago. When the Knockouts Championship was introduced in 2007, the TV segments featuring the company's talented roster of female workers were frequently gaining the highest ratings. Gail Kim and Awesome Kong were putting on matches that defined an entire genre of professional wrestling, and TNA's move to showcase the abilities of the Knockouts as opposed to just their physical assets (there was plenty of that too) seemed to be paying off. Fast forward to today, and this seems to have died. With WWE flailing in the waters of its own failed revolution, TNA has a chance to right these wrongs and really bring its ladies to the fore. The roster is still stacked to this day; Angelina Love, Mia Yim, Madison Rayne, Taryn Terrell, the aforementioned Kim and Kong. The talent is there, utilise it.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
