7 Ways The Ultimate Warrior Was The Most Unique WWE Champion Ever
6. Face Paint Showed Off His Colorful Personality
When a wrestler wears face paint during matches, they do it to differentiate themselves from everybody else. Most wrestlers obviously don't wear anything on their face partly because you're supposed to use your face to express emotion. There have been several famous wrestlers that wore face paint during their matches. The most famous ones are guys like Sting, who has obviously never been in WWE although was known as a big name in the NWA/WCW and TNA. For the majority of his career he wore the face paint. The tag team of Legion of Doom, Hawk and Animal, were also known for their face paint, which was an intimidating factor for them. Something that those three guys had in common with Warrior was that they spent the majority of their careers as babyfaces. In Warrior's case, he was a babyface for all of his career. A lot of kids loved the face paint of Warrior and if you watched WWE shows during the prime of his career you saw plenty of kids looking like "little Warriors" by emulating their hero. I spent Halloween one year in the Warrior face paint too. I doubt I was alone.
