6. "Ironwoman" Divas Matches
An easy way to change the perception of "divas" to "wrestlers" is to advertise a "chance of a lifetime" hour-long four-corner s women's match for an episode of NXT. The idea would be that the winner of the match would get a shot at the WWE Divas Championship at Survivor Series. Ideally, the belt would be on someone like Natalya, who could be shown preparing for the opportunity by grappling with the tag team she manages, Cesaro and her husband Tyson Kidd. Women's wrestling in NXT being amazing is a foregone conclusion. The idea of keeping Charlotte, Sasha, Bayley and Becky Lunch around and offering one of them the shot at Natalya for Survivor Series would put the match on an elevated platform of importance. Vignettes showing all of the women involved in the storyline sweating and struggling and actually grappling would go far in changing people's beliefs about the roles of women in mainstream TV wrestling.
