5. A Feud With Jason Jordan

While it is somewhat immature to talk of such things, it is difficult to disagree with the idea that the long-anticipated reunion of The Shield has been cursed from the get-go. Illness to Roman Reigns meant that Kurt Angle (of all people) became an honorary member in the faction’s second match, before a triceps injury put Dean Ambrose on the shelf for nine months.

To ram home the conspiracy theory, Ambrose’s replacement (Jason Jordan) was soon on the injured list too. Jordan was moved into Ambrose’s role alongside Seth Rollins, but his neck issues proved too troublesome to ignore. Jordan is out for the foreseeable future, with no reliable word on a potential return.

Taking out the real-life reasons for both men being taken off television, would it not make storyline sense for Ambrose to come after Jordan when he returns? Reuniting The Shield was no easy decision for Ambrose to make, so seeing Jordan swan in and win tag team gold with his former partner must have been a difficult pill to swallow. Ambrose will want revenge on Jordan, and he won’t be patient in getting it.

Who would play the role of the heel in the feud? In an ideal world Ambrose would don the black hat, but it is difficult to imagine a WWE crowd getting behind Jason Jordan at any time in the near future. If WWE is looking to get a little bit more mileage out of babyface Dean Ambrose, Jason Jordan is the right opponent to do so.
