This could be good. In fact, Nakamura vs. John Cena could be damn good. But it feels like this is something we should have to, you know...wait for. Maybe longer than one week’s notice.

Think of every possible dream match in all of WWE, with two stars who have never, ever fought each other. Who have you got that could be an actual draw? Roman Reigns vs. John Cena. Finn Balor vs. Cena. Braun Strowman vs. Cena maybe? So what else is there for full-time talent (and Cena isn't even really that anymore)? This is why the keep having to bring in guys like Sting and Goldberg. But those options are basically gone.

To WWE’s benefit, they do really appear to be trying with Nakamura. He’s just not getting over in the way most expected. So Vince McMahon probably wants to try and jump start his career a little bit. Maybe he thinks Cena is about to go Hollywood full-time and it's now or never to get to this.

Still, those dream matches, those huge "what ifs" used to be a staple of being a fan not too long ago. It was part of what made fandom so exciting growing up. Now, there's very few dreams left at all.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
