7 Worst WWE Turns Of 2017

6. TJ Perkins

Retro video-game loving geek TJ Perkins suddenly became akin to a Disney princess when Neville (a man who pulled off one of the best turns in recent memory) coerced his innocent little soul into doing his evil bidding. Neville's switch from babyface to heel reignited his career, but TJ's own turn to the dark side oddly left him feeling less important than he had been previously.

Perkins was the winner of WWE's Cruiserweight Classic and the first to hold the rebranded Cruiserweight Title in 2016. The hopeful end to that year couldn't prepare TJ for a horrendous 2017. This year, he has achieved precisely nothing of note other than turning heel for the sake of it and consequently appearing like he doesn't have a brain of his own.

When Neville's manipulation storyline with Perkins was dropped without warning in June, the man hand-picked to launch a new Cruiser division was left with nothing to do. As a heel, he has been ineffective. WWE have yet to make clear why they even bothered, and an explanation doesn't seem forthcoming as we race towards 2018.
