7 Wrestlers The IWC Has Turned On In 2016

2. Sasha Banks

This one is still in motion, but in the space of a year Sasha Banks has gone from the most important female wrestler in recent memory to one that fans openly refer to as over-pushed, reckless, and boring. Sasha Banks! Boring! Much like New Day, The Boss hasn't been helped by the desperately poor material she has had to work with, or by being the forced flag-bearer of a supposed revolution.

At the same time it is difficult to blame WWE for this one. The crowd were cheering her far more than any other woman on the roster, meaning she was a de facto babyface regardless of what was happening. It is also up to the performer to shine in whatever role they are given, especially the common transition between alignments.

Sasha Banks hasn't clicked as a babyface, and the IWC has begun its overly-theatrical yawning in the process.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
