7 Wrestling Moments That Wouldn’t Have Happened If Jimmy Snuka Was Jailed In 1983

4. Hulk Hogan And Mr. T Would've Had A Different Second For WrestleMania I

And there's Mr. T and Hulk Hogan preparing to head into battle at Wrestlemania I to take on Roddy Piper and Hulk Hogan. They're seconded by Jimmy Snuka, whose job it was ostensibly keep "Cowboy" Bob Orton from interfering in the match. There was a belief in WWF circles in the early 80s that Snuka was the star that would've wrestled alongside Hogan in the WrestleMania main event with T as the enforcer, but given Snuka's issues he was removed from the spotlight.

Imagine a WWF where Vince McMahon was able to push Hogan as the WWF Champion, Snuka as the IC Champ and potentially had Snuka versus Savage as a top feud for the IC strap. The idea of Tito Santana being slid into the position where Snuka should've been is sad -- though Tito did QUITE well and had a helluva feud with Greg Valentine -- and as well the idea of all of that stemming from Hogan and Snuka having a great WrestleMania main event match versus Piper and Orndorff is something even sadder to consider.
