7 WWE Careers That Are At A Dead End

7. Drew McIntyre

On the September 25, 2009 edition of Smackdown, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon introduced Drew McIntyre as a "future World Champion" that the announcers would regularly refer to as "the Chosen One" meaning he was a favorite of McMahon. That was nearly five years ago when McIntyre was just 24 years old. He went on to win the Intercontinental Title once and the Tag Titles once, but that was as far as it went for him. For the past couple of years, McIntyre has been a part of the joke team known as 3MB and almost always loses any match he competes in. He's become a jobber. It shouldn't be a question of talent with him. He's got a lot of tools that WWE wants in their major players. He's tall and has a big body. While his promos were not his strong suit at the start of his career, that's something that could develop over time. Perhaps management isn't high on his Scottish drawl or they simply don't believe in him as a talker. When WWE is picking people to become a "Paul Heyman Guy" they should consider McIntyre because he is somebody that could be groomed into the role of a top guy if they could get him out of the ridiculous rock and roll gimmick he has now. Where is now is a dead end. Something needs to change for him to get out of it. As an aside, his theme song "Broken Dreams" was one of the best choices for entrance music in WWE history. It's a shame that we don't get to hear it anymore.
