7 WWE Extreme Rules Spoilers We Already Know

4. John Cena Will Retain The US Title

John Cena will defend the US Title against his rival Rusev in a Russian Chain match. As WWE has informed us, a Russian Chain match is when both competitors are hooked up by a chain on their rests and they are not allowed to break free from it. It works like a strap or bullrope match where you have to touch all four corners consecutively in order to win. The reason WWE did that stipulation was so that Rusev isn't made to look weak by getting pinned by Cena like he was at WrestleMania. By doing that, they protect Rusev and make him look strong because he will be able to go back to being a dominant heel following Extreme Rules while facing people other than Cena. WWE has done a good job with Cena as the fighting US Champion that offers up title shots every week. It definitely makes the title seem more valuable and when somebody does beat Cena it's going to be a big deal because of how well Cena has done as the champion. It may only be a close win, but it will still end with Cena still as the US Champion. WWE didn't put the title on Cena so he can hold it for only one month. It will be much longer than that.
