7 WWE Stars Who Should NEVER Turn Babyface Again

7. Sheamus

Sheamus, with his pasty-white skin, spiked ginger mohawk and gruff, hard-hitting in-ring style, is the kind of wrestler who excels as a heel. His last babyface run, between 2011-2014 was too long, featured too many pedestrian promos that over-relied on stereotypical Irish charm and was unremarkable despite it's length.

It wasn't his fault that the run didn't carry the same enjoyment his heel ones have. Sheamus wasn't the one scripting himself to be a cheeky chappy from the 'Emerald Isle', and he wasn't responsible for hair-brained decisions like his 18-second win over Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania XXVIII.

That, to a section of hardcore fans already behind Bryan, made Sheamus unlikeable when he was meant to be the babyface.

Following a stutter after reverting to his original heel role in 2015, the Irishman forged his successful tag-team with Cesaro. When his Swiss counterpart inevitably gets cheered again and the team splits, let's hope WWE don't try Sheamus: happy-go-lucky fella' all over again.
