It's hard to know why WWE has lost interest in Big E as a potential main eventer. If you would have asked us to predict who would be a big star in WWE six months ago then he would have been one of the first names mentioned. Big E was the Intercontinental Champion from November 18, 2013 when he won it at Survivor Series until May 3 when he lost it to Bad News Barrett. Since then, he hasn't done a whole lot aside from losing to Rusev. What WWE can do is try to help him out by putting him in a match like this where he can stand out as a power wrestler. After all, they believed in him enough to put the IC Title on him for about six months. Surely that means they have to have some faith in the guy. What's great about Money in the Bank is that nobody has to get pinned in a match like this, so guys can look strong even in defeat. In the case of Big E, they could even use a loss to turn him back into a heel if they feel like he's not connecting as a face. There have even been reports that John Cena has asked to work with him because they're good friends. If that's the case then they need to build Big E back up. There are a lot of things that can happen with him. Putting him in Money in the Bank could be the spark that his career needs to get going again.
