As things stand, Alberto Del Rio is the only past winner of the Money in the Bank ladder match to be entered into the 2016 edition. It is also one of the most inexperienced MITB matches of all-time, with the current six qualifiers having only eight Money in the Bank matches under the belt so far, with half of those coming from kayfabe creator Chris Jericho.

Both of those brackets could receive a boost by entering the soon-to-return Randy Orton into the match. Doing so provides great value for a number of reasons. Orton is in danger of getting lost amongst the plethora of big returns, so announcing him ahead of time for the match and then keeping him off TV until June 19th would be a good way to build steam for his return without it being forgotten by the time the next segment is aired.

The real value is in whatever Orton will be doing going forward. We all know that WWE loves to begin stories in multi-man matches, and Orton's program through the summer of 2016 can be established and started in the ladder match. Whether this is through Bray Wyatt's annual interference or even someone like Kevin Owens costing Orton the briefcase, Orton's presence in the match would open up future creative avenues for WWE.
